Richard Cookson

Richard Cookson has more than twenty-seven years experience as an international legal and business specialist, with extensive experience in international business, project and product development and commercialization, and finance. This, together with his international legal background, allows him to extend to his clients the most complete and comprehensive professional consultancy. He has traveled to and conducted business in every continent, visiting more than fifty-six countries and territories around the world.

In addition to having taught international business, business finance, and law at several colleges, Richard Cookson practiced law in England with one of the oldest and most prestigious law firms in the world. Thereafter, he became an international business consultant in the Far East and Pacific Rim (based in Hong Kong), specializing in international marketing, technology transfer, joint ventures, and business development in the region, and other commercial aspects of global and intercultural business. He moved to the United States when he was invited to join a Colorado engineering group, where he guided its flagship company to a Governor's Award for Export and subsequently became its chief executive officer. He is a director of business advisory firms that specialize in global business, a consultant on international business matters to law firms and he teaches international business to MBA students.
